About this game

Independent learning requires two things: challenge and fun. Feelings of pleasure because they are given a variety of problems with graded levels of difficulty and a reward system for successfully solving problems. By learning fun and students having personal goals, students are able to motivate themselves to continue learning independently. One of the characteristics of independent learning is being able to carry out self-assessments - a form of self-reflection on learning outcomes.
Assessment as learning is a form of self-assessment during the learning process. This assessment requires students to be able to motivate themselves, direct the direction of their learning and reflect on the learning outcomes they do. The process of self-reflection will make students achieve a deeper understanding of the material being studied.
Technological devices can be used to simplify the learning process and at the same time provide quick feedback to students. Through this feedback, students can form new understandings and / or reinforce previously owned understandings. Strengthening student understanding is not only obtained because students carry out a procedure correctly, but also from mistakes that students may make.
The Center for Assessment and Learning developed an assessment as learning model through a math game called DESATIKA: BUILDING A VILLAGE WITH MATHEMATICS. Each student is directed to have the goal of building his village. In order to achieve this goal, students are asked to solve math problems of varying complexity.
Desatics games currently challenge math problems on number topics such as representation, sequence, and arithmetic operations. This challenge is presented attractively through various levels and story scenarios in the game. Game scenarios are designed so that students can play games starting from the most basic concepts and increase as the level of the game is played. These questions are displayed visually with various themes such as agriculture, livestock, plantations, trade, fisheries and mining. With this interesting game scenario, it is hoped that students can learn with a happy heart. Come on, Indonesian students, build a village with mathematics in Desatika!
